In order to offer technical/vocational education to the adolescents of DISA program participants and other youths in the nation, DISA founded its Institute of Science and Technology (DIST) in 2017. DIST aspires to improve skills, particularly in technical sectors to promote inclusive, sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all in Bangladesh. Furthermore, in the hopes to help the Microfinance Programme participants and other young people interested in technical trades to strengthen their technical skills, DISA built the DISA Technical Training Institute (DTTI) in Barkait, Chandina, and Cumilla in 2012. DIST first started its training programme by providing college loans to trainees who were the children of unemployed DISA Microfinance Members. In an effort to attract more potential young students, DIST has recently opened up its admissions door and made it more accessible.
