This was really a great opportunities on my part to work with Development Initiative for Social Advancement (DISA) as a PhD researcher during the period April,2014 to July, 2014. To fulfil the requirement of my data collection, I visited four districts of Bangladesh, namely, Comilla, Chandpur, Narayangonj and Narshingdi under the direct guidance and assistance of the officials of DISA. Among the four districts, I had selected 20 villages from 12 Unions which were under the operational area of DISA. I am delighted to mention that the authorities of DISA, particularly the Chief Executive Md. Shahid Ullah and Head of Microfinance Chandan Kumar Chokroborty, did lot of supports, to make the data collection process a very successful and effective one. Moreover, the head of education wing, health wing, and concerned branch managers of DISA contributed a lot to get the maximum and fruitful information from the microfinance members and non-members of the selected villages of the specified districts. Further to mention that I have been doing my extensive research based on the data collected and so far produced three conference paper and two articles to be published in renowned international Journal. And still two more articles are under work in progress for further publication.
