PARVIN BEGUM, a woman with three children lost her husband at the age of 28. She started her widow life as home servant. No one of the community asked her how she led life with three children or assists her. But Parvin had not lost the courage. She became member of DISA Zafaraba Karmajibi Mahila Samity for fighting against poverty. At the very beginning, Parvin borrowed only 12,000 taka as loan from DISA to buy a sewing machine and started to make net bags. Her elder son assists her to make net bags and sell begs at bazar. The business of Parvin became bigger; she borrowed another 15,000 taka loan from DISA and invested in her net bag business. The demand of her goods was increasing and their small industry became busy. They recruit 18 labours in their industry. Parvin is now earning 40,000 taka per month. The poverty at last loses to the courage of Parvin. She now became idol for all women in her society.
