Md Shahid Ullah, obtained his post-graduation (M.Sc.) degree from Dhaka University and does have around 30 years of professional experience, particularly on rural socio-economic development of Bangladesh. In 1993, with attainable vision of contribution to the process of poverty alleviation from Bangladesh, he along with concurring some social activists founded DISA. Since the inception of DISA, he has been leading for the growth of the organization in order to make it (DISA) success one in Bangladesh and Globe. Mr. Shahid participated in a number of Training courses at home and abroad (namely: Australia, USA, Europe and South Asia) on different areas of development segments specifically: Microfinance, Microenterprise, Organizational Management and Development, Human Resource Development, Development Management, Financial Management, Strategic Planning, Community Development, Dairy and Livestock Development and Management, Rural Development, Social Services, Fund Raising, Program Designing etc. He has grown his expertise on microfinance, microenterprise development, volunteer development, child rights protection and community library management.
Salima Naznin Bithi

She had an inspirational role at the eve of the foundation of DISA in 1993. Since the beginning, she has been involved and engaged with DISA at different capacities both in formal and informal set-up. Salima Naznin Bithi has been playing the key roles in total management and expansion of Aloghar, one of the innovative institutions of DISA which is creating visible and measurable impact on creating the enlightened society, especially impact on the lives of the youth. Library named ‘Aloghar’ is a community-driven network library having publication titled ‘Aloghar Prakashana’. Matribhumi Fashion, another social enterprises of DISA, is a brain-child of Salima Naznin Bithi. In order to empower the women, she established the Matribhumi Fashion – a chain shop by creating job opportunities for rural women. Under her fascinating leadership, ‘DISA Health Assistance and Scholarship program’ are being implemented successfully. Being a part of DISA’s core management team, she has been contributing in the overall growth of the organization since 1993.
